I owe a debt of gratitude to many people and organizations for contributing to the realization of this book. Obviously, the project would never have reached this stage without the kind co-operation and hospitality of the Tang family in Hong Kong and the Netherlands. Patty Wageman has been a great help by continually supporting and encouraging me. She also played an important part in selecting the pictures included in this book.
