yesterday @ Lenoirschuring, printing my book

I owe a debt of gratitude to many people and organizations for contributing to the realization of this book. Obviously, the project would never have reached this stage without the kind co-operation and hospitality of the Tang family in Hong Kong and the Netherlands.

Patty Wageman has been a great help by continually supporting and encouraging me. She also played an important part in selecting the pictures included in this book. Patty pleaded, successfully, for combining photographs from China with ten portraits of young Dutch-Chinese women. She has written down her thoughts on the project in The Story of Four Generations (at www.yeelingtang.com).

I am also grateful to Ditta Terpstra, Ingrid Commandeur, Jan Banning, Will Tinnemans and Marc van den Hoek for their co-operation in various areas. Many thanks are extended to the Fonds BKVB (Netherlands Foundation for Visual Arts, Design and Architecture), the Stichting Sem Presser Archief (Sem Presser Archives Foundation) and the publishing house Stichting Ipso Facto for their financial and organizational assistance. Finally, I would like to thank establishments that have exhibited my work: the Openbare Bibliotheek in Amsterdam (Amsterdam Public Library), the Stichting Het Wilde Weten in Rotterdam and 44 Gallery in Bruges.
